Balinese “Jegog” Performance
The beauty of Balinese dances enriches the island and it
is these dances that have made Bali’s culture so famous
throughout the world.
The “Jegog” performance is accompanied
by a group of musicians from the western part of Bali who
play traditional giant bamboo instruments that make a soulful
mellow rhythm.
One dance is entitled the “Joged”
Dance and is performed at social gatherings. Should the
dancers invite you onto the stage, don’t be shy about
showing off your dancing skills.
There are so many aspects of Balinese life that are transformed
into beautiful movements through the creation of dances,
from daily rituals to the environment and even animals.
